Happy Halloween weekend!! 

I am heading home this weekend to see my favorite fuzzy midget in her annual Sophie Taco costume, see my favorite baby in his minion costume, and hand out candy with mom! I'm sure there will also be candy corn, Hocus Pocus, and football in there as well.

Ellie Goulding released a new single, Army, this morning on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and no surprise here... I am loving it.

These lyrics can apply to so many wonderful people in my life: family, friends. God.

1.

 I can not find a Lilly Pulitzer wall calendar anywhere!

I've ordered one the past three years for my home office [corner of my family room.] I mean what am I going to put all these save the dates on?! 

Thank goodness for Southern Weddings [do not even ask how I ended up on their site] and their precious Southern Phrase calendar.

It has been another marathon month at work [thank you Flu.] 

Per usual, I discovered another amazing Spotify playlist, Afternoon Acoustic.

Follow ASAP, you will love it.

Wednesday I got an unexpected phone call from the little brother telling me he would be downtown for lunch! SATCO on the deck was almost as great as getting him to take a selfie. He goes back to college life this weekend and while we have our moments I will miss him so.

THE SECRET IS FINALLY OUT!

My best friend is going to be a momma!

Baby L will be arriving in August 2015.

Until then, I will keep saying hi to the sweet ultrasound picture, that was hidden in my Christmas present, on my fridge.

Workin 9 to 5

College internships. 

The dreaded "I" word your parents, teachers, mentors, dog throw at you leading up to your senior year of college.

Gotta get that internship to get the dream job or your life will fall apart.

Yes, I have been there. I survived. And got the dream job.

But instead of a traditional internship, I applied to be a campus rep for Rent the Runway.

You have to be incredibly independent, self motivated, and determined to be on a team of 5 girls when your boss is hundreds of miles away in the concrete jungle of NYC.

It was amazing, I loved it.

My beloved May Designs is introducing campus reps to their company this year.

I want you to want me

  When I was growing up mom and dad used to make deals with us, i.e. if you get all As and Bs you get $20 or if you help in the yard you can go to whatever party. And every stinkin' time it worked. So I've started doing it with myself in post grad life. Setting goals/a timeline to get what I want, putting a post it note with the date I can finally get whatever it may be all over my office, planner, calendar. So far, so good. But with spring comes flowers blooming, people you have never seen in running attire magically working on their fitness I'm unfortunately their witness, and spring collections! So this week's 10 Things will hopefully put some ideas in your head and some post it notes all over your office. 2 more week to go for me and then stalking my package hourly....

   Valentine's Day... 

   Yes I went there. It's um, the greatest and the worst holiday depending on who you sleep with at night. If it's the heart shaped pillow your mom got you Valentine's day freshmen year of college, then maybe you should steer clear of the intense red and pink heart explosion also known as the Hallmark card display at Wal-mart. If it's your precious boyfriend who we all know has some amazing surprise planned for you, then you can just leave now. So, thinking ahead and pulling from personal experience of being single the past two February 14ths I put together a cute little list of things you can get yourself for heart day or hint at your mom to get you or get your best girlfriends and won't bust your budget. And remember, it took Noah and Allie SEVEN YEARS to get their shit together so don't stress about this over hyped holiday. Fat Tuesday is way better anyway. 

10 Things... you can get yourself for Valentine's Day

7. Finally buy that movie that you always watch and crack up at whenever you catch it on HBO 59 times a week, Friends with Benefits is mine

8. Um anything from Marley Lilly, monogrammed goodness

9. Obsessed with picture frames? You'll love Magnolia Lane. Or anything else in their The South collection.

10. Norts. So you can run and stuff..

Here's the mail, it never fails. . .

   As y'all should know by now I love Target. More importantly I love the stationary isle of Target. I could easily blow $20+ on Papyrus cards and can always think of a reason to send someone a card I send my own mom cards and I live across the house from her But up until last fall I had never had that monogrammed stationary I had so coveted, until I found the amazing company that is May Designs. It actually started as simply May Books and then Halloween of this year they launched May Notes. I could honestly order more of these things than I would ever know what to do with. Of course, don't only take my word for it, you should definitely follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I LOVE their Instagram feed because it always gives me great ideas seeing what other May Designs pattern/color combos people have put together. I currently have a May Book for each account I'm on and then a couple sets of May Notes and never fail to get a compliments on them And the best part is they are incredibly affordable and really great quality/hand made products that ship to you just a couple days after you order them. There are six or seven different book inserts you can order such as lined, dots, graph paper, 40 week planner, and the most relevant right now wedding planner made GREAT Christmas presents for my brides to be 
   So, gentlemen these would make a lovely Valentine's Day present. And all my single ladies, who said you can't give yourself a Valentine's Day present? Guys are horrible at presents anyway.. My current obsession is the new Sweethearts collection but there is definitely something there for everyone. Although it would be AMAZE if they came out with an NFL collection, can never get enough #blackandyellow. So there it is, the answer to the question that's been bouncing around on Instagram, "where did you get your stationary???"
