Ed Sheeran finally quit teasing and announced the release date for his third album this week. Only 49 more days until Divide comes out on March 3rd. Let the countdown [and stalking of tour dates] begin!

While being home sick for two days this week I discovered two really great shows on Netflix that are 100% binge worthy: Medici, Masters of Florence and Versailles. Each are under 10 episodes and it's a good thing because you'll be hooked not even 5 minutes in.

Five on Friday

1.

I love some Jessie James Decker. I love her show, her music, and her Instagram.
She released her new song Lights Down Low last week and no surprise here, I love it. It is the perfect end of summer/early fall "love" song.

2.

The JCrew Fall Style guide arrived this week and I cannot get enough of it. Early Fall has to be one of my favorite times of the year. Humidity is oddly low this weekend and I plan on cleaning house with the door open.

3.

The Longest Ride has been on my Watch List since it hit theaters this spring and it's finally at Redbox! I foresee a Sunday afternoon movie in my future.

4.

While I love love love my Brittany Fuson prints, Sara introduced me to Lindsay Nichole Designs yesterday and I already have my favorites. She has an Etsy shop too with the most precious prayer cards for only $5!

Sara sent me this specific print and I already am obsessing over it for my new office.

5.

It's a Super Bowl XLV rematch this weekend with the Steelers facing the Packers in some pre-season football. I am already pumped with insults ready to go!

Weekend Recap: January 11-12

Last week I shared my personal new year's resolutions with y'all, but while planning out some upcoming posts this weekend I decided to come up with some blogging resolutions as well. One of my favorite bloggers and designers Ashley Brooke posts a Weekend Lookbook every Monday. I love these posts! It's always so much fun to see what people get into on the weekends. 

So Pekarsk-ing Around resolution #1: weekend recaps! 

Here's what I got into this weekend, complete with pictures and a fashionable appearance by Sophie:

Saturday morning I perked myself up with a quick visit to Sun Tan City and then off to the office for a good four hour work session with Maggie. We thought we were busy before Christmas, HA. We've got audits AND posts due this month. But if you've got to work on a Saturday might as well do it with Chipotle. 

Then it was off to Hendersonville for football, pizza, and beer! Sophie was stylin and profilin in my infinity scarf. This was the best picture I could get.

Sunday was full of errands, recipe planning, and lazy TV watching. I refused to watch football, but did rep my Steelers while grocery shopping!

Sunday night I wrapped myself up on the couch and watched ALL the Golden Globe coverage, I'm talking pre-red carpet to the last award. Topped the night off with a long talk with mom, full of laughter and life advice [be on the look out for a future post on what I talked her ear off about.]

Southern Living kind of Life

Three words: I. Did. It.

I picked my recipes. I made a grocery list. I made a pie. 

And not just any pie, a Southern Living Thanksgiving Pie. 

(and mayyybe Mom saved my butt a couple times, but I still did it)

And it was a damn good Coconut-Pumpkin Chiffon Pie.

Now, we conquer Christmas..

In case you missed it, JULIE IS BACK!

And what better way to jump back into #lifewithJulie than a four hour adventure to the Nashville Christmas Village?! After two cups of coffee, more mini muffins than I'm willing to admit, and a couple outfit changes [on both sides of the house] we were ready to go!

Um, we were not ready . These people mean business, like matching "I believe in Santa"/multiple Christmas themed tote bags for purchases/Christmas tree headbands business.But there is nothing the Pekarsky girls can not handle. Second booth of the first building and we had our first purchase! As American Pickers [and dad] would say, we had broken the ice. 

There were six buildings and we mini stepped our way through all of them.

At the end of they day, I had a precious new Christmas tree for outside my front door [thank you momma], two packs of fabulous Christmas cards, a burlap Steeler ornament, and two AMAZE presents for dad.

Oh and lots of laughs with mom [along with the promise that I will never bring my child under the age of 12 to Christmas Village.] 

Then it was home, hot dogs, nap, chili, Killing Kennedy [we all ended up getting sucked into that one], and Ron White on Netflix. It's like they never left for three weeks.

I am one happy kid. 

Stuck in Colder Weather

Because 30 degree weather calls for really big coffee, preferably in a monogrammed Steelers Tervis. 

Bundle up, y'all! 

It's only pre-season, right?

Well the boys may have looked less than stellar, but Sophie and I were looking ab fab in our coordinating Steeler outfits. 

And there is nothing better than Monday morning coffee in my old school Three Rivers Stadium Pittsburgh mug.

I don't want no scrub

As a single girl I can have a good laugh with Thought Catalog on this one. 

You wouldn't have to twist my arm too hard to get me to agree with 1, 4, and 5. 

Sorry, but couples dinners are best when y'all are the only couple in attendance.

I'm lovin it

It's the little things in life that make it fun and pretty.

Here are 5 things I'm loving in my life right now.

Christmas in August

Counting down to August 10, first pre-season game! 

Eli Manning, you're precious. But #blackandyellow baby. 

But everything goes away

So, we survived. 

2x 11 hour car rides, 1 in pouring rain. 

Eating out 5 days in a row, including ordering Jet's the night we got home.

Lots of tough moments, but lots of good ones too. 

I have never felt more incredibly blessed to have the family and father I do.

Our last day in Pittsburgh, we got to explore the Steel City with the best tour guide, dad!

We saw Pitt, Heinz Field, PNC Park, Mt. Washington, and more Steeler stuff than I could have ever imagined. It was awesome.

And I will admit, Dad wins in the Pekarsky family for prettiest college campus.
