I could write multiple posts on my feeling towards Gone Girl, both the book and the movie, and the ending that ticked off probably 98% of America. However Gillian Flynn redeemed herself with me with Dark Places and Sharp Objects. Both of these books are am-a-za-zing and after months of rumors the trailer for Dark Places was released this week!

In case you've been living under a rock [probably trying to escape this heat] The Bachelorette finally picked her one and only Monday night. It's no secret this season had some scandy, sketchy, and WTF moments and white girls everywhere can rejoice because a conspiracy theory has finally been published! Go ahead, just read and nod along.

Your desk just got a little prettier because Lilly launched her fall "accessories" line.

When I was hanging up laundry last night I stumbled upon my LBD 25th birthday dress.

I was in love with this dress from the minute I saw it and by divine birthday intervention it was the only small left in the store. I scooped it up instantly. 

As much as I love summer in all its neon glory I am a sucker for black.

I blame my coloring. I was blessed with the gift of dark features and the ability to rock navy and black like it's going out of style. So here's to black on black daydreaming.

If You Wait

In last Friday's 5 on Friday post I introduced my most recent Netflix obsession, Reckless. 

Confession: I totally thought it was a new show produced by Netflix. Wrong. It was apparently a CBS summer series last year and after one steamy season was cancelled.. boo.

I marathoned my way through the end of the series this weekend and damn you CBS for that cliff hanger ending. But that's now what this post is about. 

I absolutely love the show, and cast, and the wardrobe was every southern girl's dream; but the best part had to be the soundtrack. I think I broke out my Shazam app basically every episode and nine times out of ten it was a London Grammar song from their album 'If You Wait'. I had heard them before featured on The Royals this spring but finally gave the whole album a listen this weekend and it is amazing.

Nightcall, Stay Awake, and Strong are all the perfect song for chill summer nights.
I know I'll be playing this on repeat for a good while.

RIP Reckless. Gone but never forgotten from my list on Netflix.

1. 

After slacking the past couple weeks [eh or month] I finally got my thunder thighs back on the street this week, hitting the pavement three days in a row! [self high five]

Wednesday is my new favorite thanks to hitting a new mile PR, haven't seen that time since high school!

2.

After the Mynatt/Neal Charleston destination wedding summer vacation of 2015 last weekend I cannot wait to lay low this weekend and finally go see Trainwreck with Sara! After seeing Amy Schumer's hilarious self on the The Bachelorette this season I am pumped for her big screen debut. And probably mine and Sara's last girls' date before Baby L arrives!

Speaking of Charleston, as mom would say, I am jonesin' on that gorgeous city and what a coincidence I would find a new Netflix series set there!
