Brittany Fuson Paper

One of my favorite parts of mom's birthday present was a precious print from Brittany Fuson Paper.

I've blogged about Brittany and her fabulous designs before in my Five on Friday posts. 

I discovered this Brentwood beauty at the Christmas Market this past winter and have loved her ever since. 

I have a huge open wall in my bedroom and have been trying to figure out what to do with since I moved in last April. I think some of Brittany's prints would be an excellent addition to any gallery wall [or open bedroom wall.]

There are notecards, folded cards, notepads, and luggage tags!

Be sure to give her a look, and stop by her booth at Christmas Market this coming year [she also designs the precious t-shirts for it every year.] 

An ode to Julie

Today is my sweet momma's birthday.

The woman who buys you a weeks worth of groceries just because "the things you like were on sale" and then tells you not to buy her anything for her birthday.

The woman who is a native California girl and roots with all her heart for the Steelers, Pirates, Pitt, Penguins [and I've heard her yell a Go VOLS every now and then.]

The woman who has had a homemade dinner on the table every night of my life, even when I randomly show up. And sends me home with enough leftovers to feed a small army. 

The woman who makes me laugh and cry all with one simple emoji text.

"There's a rainbow in your heart"

"My favorite pirogi's the one with the purse"

"Do you want a small refrigerator? We have one."

The woman who has given me such a wonderful example of an incredible Catholic woman and mother [my kids will be lucky to have her as their "Julie" one day.]

The woman who is excited for my future and hopeful for all my happiness-es more than I am sometimes [er, most of the time.] 

There simply aren't enough words to describe what an amazing woman my mother is.

And she will probably see this blog post three weeks from now.

She is the woman that gave me up for Lent [and I now thank her for that] and never gave up on me when I gave up on myself.

She's my Julie and I love her.

Five [on the 5th] on Friday

1. It's Pumpkin Spice Latte season! 

I made a special Starbucks trip yesterday to get my first of the season.

2. Last night was our fantasy football draft for my ESPN league with Sara and Patrick and half the wedding party! We live texted throughout and I have never laughed so hard. The friends that fantasy together stay together.

3. Evelyn Henson, one of my favorite print designers, released her Fall 2014 Free Downloads Wednesday; and they are precious!! 

4. Mom's birthday is Tuesday!!! I was lucky enough to get the day off and have had so much fun running around this week getting her presents all pulled together!

5. FOOTBALL IS BACK!

You and Me and all that Wild

I'm just going to come out and say it.

It took me a good three or four days to warm up to the new Maroon 5 album.

I KNOW RIGHT?

Who am I?

Now, before you disown me on all forms of blogging.. I am once again in love with the boys and "V".

If you haven't given the new album a listen [silently judging you] it's a little different than their others. But, so so good. I've got my favorites set and am already stalking tickets for when they come to Nashville in February. 

The more I find out about the album, the more I love it. My girl Gwen Stefani makes a flawless appearance on My Heart is Open. My boy Mike Posner helped pen Sugar. And then there's this picture from the set of the Animals music video..
