Five on Friday

1.
A TON of new fall arrivals hit My Kind of Lovely Knoxville this week so naturally Caroline and I had some lunchtime fun shooting all these cute new looks.
I am obsessed with the SEC flag shirt and gorgeous navy roses dress.

2.
Tomorrow is October, WHAT?!
Holy cow this month has flown by.
October is already full to the brim with Dad's birthday, a trip to KY for client planning, and Luke Bryan's Farm Tour next week!

3.
Speaking of October, Evelyn Henson's calendar download is dounut-fully precious!

4.
Molly and I add another 5K bib to our walls this Sunday, Strides Against Breast Cancer at 3pm, World's Fair Park. Come out and help raise awareness for this fight!

5.
The Chainsmokers have been on fire lately with Closer. I've never seen a bar go more insane for a song on a Saturday night after a Tennessee win. Yesterday they released their new single, All We Know. Phoebe Ryan is featured on the track, love her. Take a listen below!

Forcing Fall

Last week was officially the beginning of Fall and on Saturday it was 95 in Knoxville.
The sweaters and puffy vests in my closet are not amused.
When I ran out on lunch to get groceries yesterday I decided I would just take it upon myself to force Fall.
I loaded up on soups, candy corn, Harvest Pumpkin candles, and some spooky decor.
I couldn't wait to get home after work and get everything up.
I must say as much as I love my sweet bar cart I think the tiny ghosts in the kitchen have to be my favorite little touch.

Red Carpet Round-up: Emmy's

I somehow completely blanked that the Emmy's were last night, was too invested in SNF and staying awake to watch the Packers lose [#blackandyellow.] So this morning I had a small guilty pleasure moment and scrolled all the red carpet pictures in bed.
Here are my favorites of the night in no particular order:

Weekend Recap: 9/17-9/18

In a matter of 48 hours this weekend went from planned lazy days to tailgates, Saturday in Neyland, our third greek My Kind of Lovely event, and a Steelers win! Now, I'm not complaining. However, coffee was a must this morning.

Thursday morning, Molly text and asked if I would want to go to the game with her family on Saturday.  Like I even needed to think on that on, yes yes yes.
The sun was out, the Vols won, and I got out with only a toasty nose.

Sunday, we were up bright and early to pack up inventory at the store and head on over to AChiO's parents' weekend luncheon for My Kind of Lovely's third greek event. A very long morning but the greatest to see all our hard work and vision from way back in July come to life.

This week is going to be another long but good one. Traveling to VA on Thursday for station meetings, three markets to finish up and place buys in, and heading home this weekend to celebrate Joe's 22nd birthday!!
Again, coffee please.

Lately: September

How in the heck are we already half way through September?
This month has already been jam packed with lots more fun to come!

Listening:
I texted a friend of mine the link to the new Andrew McMahon single this weekend [a must listen btw] and he sent back two Nico Stai songs for me to listen to, which lead me to listen to the entire album.
I have now passed it along to multiple friends to listen to and have had on repeat at work.
Caution: will become obsessed.

Eating:
Nabisco Good Thins, White Cheddar.
Mom and I taste tested these when I was home last weekend and I have already powered through two boxes.  SO GOOD SO GOOD [to the tune of Sweet Caroline.]

Reading:
Uninvited Lysa TerKeurst
Sara snapchatted me a picture of the cover a couple weeks ago letting me know Psalm 31 was starting their bible study with the book the following week.
This is hands down one of the greatest books I've ever read, it will sit on my bed side table for years to come.

Watching:
AHS Season 6 premiered last night and I am both pumped and slightly terrified to watch tonight.
We are so close to Fall prime programming coming back I can already hear the "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." from the TGIT opener!

Wearing:
My Kind of Lovely fall new arrivals hit the website today and I am obsessed with this romper.
It has pockets, ruffles, and birds. What else do you need in life?

Celebrating:
Joe's 22nd birthday next weekend!
When did he get so old? Wait, when did I get so old?

On the go:
I was lucky enough to get to go to the Maroon 5 concert last night.
This was my third go-round with Mr. Lavine and they did not disappoint.

Next up NEEDTOBREATHE September 25th!

And the Future Looks Good

Woke up starin' at this, starin' at this empty room
Looked at thousand different pictures that your mother took of you
You see I had this crazy dream last night - this man, he talked to me
He told me everything that's good and bad about my history

But he said that you are, you are the future
He said that you are, you are the future
And the future looks good
The future looks good

Oh call me any time that every time you're losin' it
And tell me anyone and everyone who makes you feel like shit
Because you know anybody, everybody else can lie
But honey I won't see you with a, see you with a broken set of eyes

I swear that you are, you are the future
I swear that you are, you are the future
And the future looks good
Oh, yeah
The future looks good
Oh, yeah

The future looks good
Oh, yeah
The future looks good
Oh, yeah

You, you, you
You, you, you

Woke up starin' at this, starin' at this empty room
Looked at thousand different pictures that your mother took of you

Five on [the first September] Friday

1.
Hold on to your waffles, the season two teaser for Stranger Things is HERE!
All episode titles are revealed and I am beyond intrigued.

2.
Speaking of Stranger Things, one of my favorite bloggers SummerWind posted this cool link yesterday where you can "strangify" any phrase you want.

3.
As of last night, college football is BACK!
The Vols toyed with every emotion imaginable last night but pulled out a win.
A few of us from work were lucky enough to be invited into a vendor's skybox, the ice cream made OT a little more bearable.

4.
Jimmy Eat World released new music this week.
No need to worry they are just as good as they've always been!

5.
HELLO LONG WEEKEND!!!
HELLO LAKE AND SUN AND NAPS!!!
