And everything falls into place, the seasons change
Today marks six months of being in Knoxville and a part of the amazing media team at Tombras.
If you had told me a year ago I would move to Knoxville I would have laughed. If you had told me I would get to work on accounts like Sun Tan City and Gatlinburg I would have given a sarcastic "yeah." And if you had told me I would have the title of "Planner-Buyer" and own accounts like Sun Tan City and Gatlinburg I would have choked on my Starbucks.
And here I am.
Life's funny. Plans change. His plan, not mine.
I could not feel more blessed or thankful for this opportunity and all the amazing people who have cheered me on and my incredible family who has supported me through thick and thin.
Here's to the next six months.
Can we go right back to the start
I got a little lost
Done living in the past
There's many seasons in our lives
It's been a long winter
Spring's getting nearer
Remind me of the good and all the bad
Remind me of everything that we had
Right now it's so clear
This year has been the best and the worst year
I hear it's all uphill from here
This year has been the best and the worst year
I hear it's all uphill from here
ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh
I'm listening to the sound advice
You spoke from the heart
Just be who you are
And everything falls into place
The seasons change, but we're the same
I hear...
This year has been the best and the worst year
I hear it's all uphill from here
This year has been the best and the worst year
I hear it's all uphill from here
This year has been the best and the worst year
I hear it's all uphill from here

Weekend Recap: 4/23-4/24
This weekend was the first of back to back 5Ks this month.
Molly and I were up bright and early for Smokey's Pantry 5K in good ole Circle Park [throw back to living in the Scripps lab junior and senior year of college]. This race was great not only because we got to run campus again but also because all registration fees went directly towards the food pantry on campus to help the Knoxville community.
After a quick shower and throwing a bag together I was off to the mountains for a wonderful 26 hours with mom, dad, and of course Sophie! There was Mexican, hockey [hey hey Penguins, Round 2 of playoffs], walks in the national park, amazing brunch thanks to dad, unplanned naps, and lots of laughing. Next time I see everyone it will be in Hendersonville for Mother's Day weekend!
Now on to a week of client meetings, station events, and the Dogwood Classic on Saturday.
And then it's May, say what?!

Five on FriYaY
1.
One of my favorite bloggers, Pink Peonies, Rachel Parcell is launching her own clothing line and I could not be more excited!! She teased one of her gorgeous designs, thanks to my girl Brittany Fuson, with a sketch and giveaway on her blog yesterday! Head on over and check it out.
2.
Tomorrow is Smokey's Pantry 5K, one of two 5Ks this month, on one of my favorite routes... University of Tennessee's campus. I trained for my first half marathon on campus senior year and I can't wait/am dreading running Pedestrian Walkway tomorrow.
3.
While I am all Vol, I was raised a Pitt fan and love the Panthers thanks to my dad.
James Conner, a Pitt running back and ACC Player of the Year, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma last year and is currently undergoing treatment. He appeared on Ellen this week to share his story and Eric Berry made a surprise visit to show his support. Check out the inspiring clip below.

Lately: April
Watching:
Game of Silence [NBC Thursday 10/9c]
Created by the same team that did Friday Night Lights, Ali and I discovered the first two episodes OnDemand this weekend and were hooked before the first commercial break.
We also went to go see The Boss Saturday night and were already dying laughing ten minutes in at the sofa bed scene . Definitely worth the $11 ticket.
Running:
First up this weekend, Smokey's Pantry 5K.
Followed by Dogwood 5K next weekend.
Double fisting 5Ks this month, in May we take on a 10K.
Reading:
Me Before You- Jojo Moyes
The movie comes out in June and this time I am determined to finish the book before seeing the movie.
I foresee a lot of balcony afternoons in my future.
Listening:
Wearing:
OPI's new Soft Shades-Pastels "It's a Boy"
You know it's going to be a good week when you color coordinate with your car.
Helping:
Our media team here at Tombras volunteered with WBIR's the Knoxville NBC affiliate Habitat for Humanity team this month and what an awesome afternoon it was!
We got to meet the family, hammer our hearts out, and watch a house be built right before our eyes.
Adventuring:
..at Bristol [babyyyyy]
I can now check "Nascar Race" off my life Bucket List. #FoodCity500
p.s. my #6 car came in 5th, not too shabby for picking cars based off lucky numbers
Missing:
This girl in the middle.
I've been "the other Caroline" to this chick in the middle since 2009.
She brought me to Tombras and now she's ditching me for some red socks and an amazing new adventure in Boston, but I know she'll kill it!
Celebrating:
Sara's big 2-6 next Monday!!!

Five on Friday
1.
New Tom Odell hit Spotify's New Music Friday playlist this morning and it is so so good.
I always know, of all the boys in my life, Tom will never let me down.
2.
This weekend continues the April weekend warrior party:
Saturday- The Orange and White Game with my long lost desk bestie Maggie
Sunday- Food City 500 at Bristol
3.
May 2nd may still be a couple weeks away but I've already ordered my She Reads Truth: Proverbs study and I couldn't be more excited to start it.
"The pursuit of wisdom and the pursuit of God cannot be separated. In this way, the study of the Book of Proverbs is a journey to spiritual maturity—a journey to the wisdom that comes from God alone. This 4-week study, Proverbs: The Way of Wisdom, gathers a selection of wisdom sayings from throughout the Book of Proverbs into daily thematic readings. Each day’s reading is followed by a short series of questions to help you grasp the meaning of the text and the apply that day’s wisdom to your own life. This study is meant to be contemplative—light on the quantity of verses but heavy on the thoughts, questions, and prayers that flow from them."

ICYMI: Mary-Kate and Ashley posted their first ever social media selfie as part of their Sephora Instagram takeover. And it was as fabulous as we had all imagined. I'll always love them.

5.
Forecast is calling for nothing under 75 and only sun for the next week.
Praise hands for that!

Who I am, who you are
I ain't no Ken and you ain't no Barbie
Ain't none of my friends have a perfect body
If we had it all, go, go
Baby, if we let it all go, go
Baby, we could break the mold, mold
Not afraid to show, I just wanna say
From my head to my toes
Feeling overexposed
I wanna be naked with you
All my faults, all your scars
Who I am, who you are
I wanna be, oh, naked with you, naked with you
No, we ain't no Brad and Angelina
Oh, we don't let that bother us either
If we let it all go, go
Maybe if we let it all go, go
This time we'll let 'em all know, know
Not afraid to show, I just wanna say
From my head to my toes
Feeling overexposed
I wanna be naked with you
All my faults, all your scars
Who I am, who you are
I wanna be, oh, naked with you, naked with you
No more lies, no more hate
No more waiting in the wings
Take my hand, take the stage
I just wanna say
From my head to my toes
Feeling overexposed
I wanna be naked with you
All my faults, all your scars
Who I am, who you are
I wanna be, oh, naked with you, naked with you

Five on Friday
1.
This past week I had fallen into a music rut, listening to the same loop of songs day in and day out.
Thank the good Lord for the new NEEDTOBREATHE I discovered this afternoon. Now I can just listen to it on a loop for the next week.
I got a homesick heart but a long ways left to go
Sometimes it's hard, you carry on
But I hear a voice singing and I know it's true

2.
This weekend I get to participate in something I've always thought was an amazing event put on by a great organization, Habitat for Humanity. The entire media department at my agency is volunteering and I could not be more proud to say I'm part of this team!
3.
Ashley Brooke Designs launched her Spring Favorites Giveaway yesterday and let me tell you right now, you will want ALL the things. Head on over to her blog to enter, it's linked right to your left!
4.
Entertainment Weekly released the first photos from the set of the NEW Gilmore Girls episodes. And after much speculation, it was finally confirmed Sooki will be back!
I can already hear it now "Where you lead, I will folllllow"

Tueday Trending: Summer Picks
Well, it's been a hot minute since I've posted a Tuesday Trending but this amazing weather has brought out the summer itch in me and has images of floral print shorts and embellished tanks dancing in my head. Here are some of the looks I cannot wait to move to the front of my closet.
1.
Laser-cut dresses and tops
Let that tan peak through! I really love it on white pieces [makes the design pop more], but it's also no secret I am all about some color in the summer.. well and every other day.
2.
Maxis
Printed or solid, a maxi is always a solid choice for all summer events: work, drinks, parties. And if you can find a petite maxi, jackpot!
3.
Embellished pieces
Whether it's jeweled sandals or a beaded mini, an embellished piece has its own built in accessory, itself.
4.
NEON
Neon and stripes. Neon and denim. Neon and neon.
5.
Nautical stripes
I am a horizontal stripe fanatic and nautical stripes bring a little bit of the Hamptons feel to the humid summer down South.
Any pieces you can't wait to wear?

I know that it's Mine
When it went down, it was so hard to breathe
I gave up everything in a slow fall down to the floor
Life was escaping me, I couldn't find myself
'Til it was all lost
Not anymore
I'm holding on to all the pieces of my hearts debris
'Til it's time
I'll pull it together and fix myself eventually
And know it's mine
I found gold in the wreckage, put it on a necklace
Keepin' it cause I know that it's mine
I wear it like a message so I don't forget it
Keepin' it cause I know that it's mine
I know that it's mine no matter what I do
I know that it's mine whether I win or lose
And even though my heart needs to take its time
I know that it's mine, I know that it's mine
Facing the change, but it's still tough to see
At first, I fought it all, I was so mean
I'm still unsure how it's supposed to be
But taking every day now by the skin of my teeth
Until I learn
I'm holding on to all the pieces of my hearts debris
'Til it's time
I'll pull it together and fix myself eventually
And know it's mine
I found gold in the wreckage, put it on a necklace
Keepin' it cause I know that it's mine
I wear it like a message so I don't forget it
Keepin' it cause I know that it's mine
I know that it's mine no matter what I do
I know that it's mine whether I win or lose
And even though my heart needs to take its time
I know that it's mine, I know that it's mine

5 on Friday
1.
My girl Evelyn Henson released her Spring/Summer collection this past week and it is perfect. She teased with some free downloads and I still can't pick my favorite. Right now one of my screens is loving brightly colored macaroons and the other is keeping me up to date with the April calendar. Find your favorite here.
2.
One of my favorite Nashville ladies, Britany Fuson also launched her Spring collection this past week. With an expanded Bridal and Baby collection, more luggage tags, WINKS for every woman in you life, and the cutest new To Do list try to not add it all to your cart in one sitting.
3.
Just in time for wedding season, White Party weekend, birthdays, and Sunday Fundays by the pool Lauren Conrad's newest book Celebrate came out this week. Last I heard it was backordered online, so get to a book store ASAP!
4.
Happy April!!
Another month bites the dust and we are rolling right along through 2016. This month brings an exciting To Do list and I can't wait!
Habitat for Humanity build with my awesome media team
Rhythm and Blooms music festival
Sara's 26th birthday
Mom and Dad's Anniversary
Another 5K bib to add to the board
5.
Almost two years after probably one of the coolest concerts of my life, The Goo Goo Dolls released a single from their upcoming new album. Over and Over sounds like classic Goo Goo and has me counting the days until I can hear the entire album.
