Movin on up

Short and sweet: We did it.

4 days. One bed (headboard, frame, mattress, box spring). One couch (and an impossible slip cover). One extremely long cable cord. Multiple episodes of RHOC (delivery men, always on time right?).
I am officially moved in. So this week's 10 Things are, you guessed it, moving related!

10 Things... "Moving"

1. Priorities y'all, Hines Ward >

2. Rainy day moving essential, best Christmas present from the little

3. We have a bed!

4. And then, a made bed!

5. Thanks BOHAN secret Santa for my canvas, still don't know who you are

6. Kitchen decor, #SEC #blackandyellow

7. Sophie wanted to come too, or more like I wanted Sophie to come too

8. Cya, bye River Chase

9. Rooftop chillin

10. Couch was 6 hours late, so we did wall sits and watched Bravo. Last night of #lifewithJulie

#tbt 13.1

#tbt (throwback thursday) to the Country Music Half Marathon last year!
Good luck to everyone running it this year!

"I look like shit in that picture. Oh my God I look awful."

"Uh, yeah. You should, you just ran 13.1 miles"

I do love my Ma and Pa

The week has finally arrived. It's time to go. It's not good bye just I'll see you late, like Sundays for dinner. Or when I need a cake pan on a random Wednesday night. Or when I'm having a monster of a week and need a hug.

Big girl panties pulled up. Here we go.

10 Things... I will miss about home

1. Sophie. That dog is nuts and I will miss her so damn much.
2. Having mom to comment on my outfit or hair or lipstick every morning before I call her Julie and get my lean cuisine out of the back fridge.
3. Dad being Dad and defrosting/warming up/keeping a close eye on the hood of my car. I will be hard pressed to find a guy like him.
4. A home cooked meal every night complete with color coordinated place mats, laughs, and always being the last one to finish.
5. Sonic. It's < 5 minutes away.
6. Saturday grocery shopping. aka causing a scene. aka eating our way through the store. aka me trying to get in the buggy.
7. Walks around the block. Just talking out the problems of the world.
8. Mom complaining how much she hates our sofa. Dad destroying the sofa with his butt. Sophie shoving her face in the sofa. All while watching some of the most ridiculous TV we can find.
9. Waking up and being able to hear voices already downstairs and coffee already brewing.
10. Getting to drive through the gate every night with a 360 view of our gorgeous house/yard/pool/life.

11. Living with your best friends/biggest fans of your life, your parents.

I grew up in one of the most loving homes imaginable. I just hope I can make my house as amazing as 147 River Chase has been to me.

The Woman, the Prints, the Legend

I am a known Lilly Pulitzer lover. And although my current budget doesn't really allow much wiggle room to add some new shifts to my closet, you can always look right? Not saying that her accessories aren't to die for and even better, actually in my price range. Came across these two new precious prints while doing some browsing this week. Don't they just scream summer?

Rolling dice and staying out till 3

Another great Spotify find this week. I'm telling y'all "shuffle" of Billboard's playlists is your friend. Had this on repeat all day yesterday. And now my village knows all the words to this song too. Enjoy!

Friday Night Lights [of the TV]

This week's 10 Things is going to be short and sweet, kinda like me. If you're anything like me and my friends, our DVR/Netflix is our current significant other even if we already have a significant other. There is nothing better than coming home, plopping your butt on the couch, and vegging out watching all the shows you feel asleep in the middle of the night before. So here are 10 shows you should be watching/DVR-ing/start marathoning on Netflix ASAP. And trust me on these. It might have taken me a couple weeks of texting and dropping hints but I successfully got Jenn hooked on Chicago Fire, to the point were she now texts me about episodes.

10 Things [Shows]... You should be watching

1. Grimm NBC
2. Chicago Fire NBC
3. The Client List Lifetime
4. Dallas TNT
5. Friday Night Lights you'll have to OnDemand/Netflix this one, but SO worth it
6. Heart of Dixie The CW
7. Awkward MTV
8. Revenge ABC
9. Game of Thrones HBO
10. Big Rich Atlanta Style (judge me all you want, but this show has me rolling every Sunday night)

Hot Mess: Party of 1

I will be the first to admit there are a lot of Twitter accounts out there that are either themed quotes, memes of some genre, and articles. And not all of them are great. But one that I will give my seal of approval to is Thought Catalog. They are just, well, perfect. They tweet a couple articles a day but don't blow up your feed. They're smart and witty and most importantly relevant to a 20 something's life. And this is one I just had to share. While the title of the article may make me seem bitter/cynical which I usually am it has some great points that us single ladies and "Mrs."s can both benefit from. Here are some of my favorites, oh and happy Friday!

6. Starting a blog and, despite having an average daily readership of three people including your mother, maintaining and growing it with love.

9. Starting a serious (and somewhat costly) love affair with reading, and with the general feel and smell of books in your hand.

12. Having dinner parties because you are classy and like to get white wine drunk.

15. Watching every Disney movie in chronological order.

19. Spending more time with your parents, because they are awesome and give you free food and compliments.

Standing tall like the dreams in my head

I am a brown eyed loner. I march to my own drummer. I am the labor of my mother's love.

And every night I'll think Holy Mother Mary, I am a keeper. I am a keeper baby.

There are no words to describe my love for this song. Another Wordy Wednesday brought to me by a text from a best friend. This time reading, "The Band Perry- I'm a Keeper. YOU." The lyrics are perfection and read like the short story of my 20something years all 2.9 of them. Hope you're tapping your feet under your desk to this all morning like I will be.

Y'all blue eyed Susans have fun now.

"Too bad the Target lady isn't here to help"

One of me and mom's favorite past times is wandering around Target on a Saturday and sometimes Sundays when we need to kill time before the Steelers' game. We play the game of putting things we like/want/can squeeze into our budget in the buggy doing a loop around the store with the item and then deciding if we really need/want it all that bad. This past weekend we wandered into Target, put things in the buggy, took them out, and then left with two buggies worth of stuff. If you haven't seen the commericals by now, Target has introduced a new line, Threshold. I thought it was a new designer line they had brought in but really it's the Target Home collection given a face lift and a new name. There isn't a ugly piece in this line and to top it all off it's budget friendly. So keeping with the T theme we've got going on here, this week's 10 Things are all about Target, more specifically Target Threshold. IT'S A MATCH!

10 Things... From Target Threshold you must have

1. Threshold Wood Frame Mirror-Yellow
2. Threshold Flocked Lamp Shade Collection- Yellow
3. 4 piece Wall Shelf and Frame Set
4. Threshold Brass Animals
5. Threshold Owl Lamp base- White
6. Threshold Tufted Stool- Coral Floral
7. Threshold Cottage Side Table- White
8. Threshold Watercolor Chevron Bath Towel- Yellow/Gray
9. Threshold Grid Shower Curtain- Green
10. Threshold Brass Cage Hurricane

Of course, everything is linked, but don't stop there. Explore the entire collection. You will fall in love with it probably just as fast as we did.
